Predicament of Anime

"Many people who watch Anime think that they know a lot about Japenese Culture "
Anime is among many types of Japanese film and TV animations that have a lot of good things and good shows that come along with it but on the other hand has a lot of perverted stuff, violence and sometimes becomes addictive for teens, so will not be good for the minds of teens and people who are underaged. Some of the animes are described as being "Dangerous to the minds of Teens" who are exposed to animes like High School DxD, Aki Sora, Eiken, etc.
Lots of people would prefer that teens shouldn't watch some if not all anime in order to avoid being exposed to the really bad parts of anime.
Haley Thompson, a 17 year old senior at Summit High School, admits she once watched anime at a young age. However, over the past few years, her view for anime has changed drastically.
"I've seen a lot of bad stuff that didn't do good on my mental health as a child" says Thompson. She also states that some animes consist of having perverted scenes, violence and harsh moments that has unintentional affectsminds of younger viewers of Anime.
Anime shows episodes/mangas that are meant for the more adult/mature crowd, yet more youngsters actually watch anime than the mature views. The problem tends to be worse for youngesters.
Another reason for teens to not watch anime is the fact that they get looked at as being "weird" or get called names by people that either don't watch anime or that don't enjoy anime.
Nigel Mangovin is also an anime fan but unlike Haley is a hardcore fan of anime and tends to make anime a part of his life. He does deal with people giving him a hard time at school due to his excessive watching of anime.
"My friends used to call me names and gave me a hard time because I was a hardcore anime fan" says Nigel in the interview. The sad thing is that some of his friends treat like that and don't realize it.
That's just one example of the discrimination/ negative views that people get as they watch anime like Nigel. There's also some articles about how many individuals who watch or enjoy anime especially for those being young are being viewed differently and sometimes even mistreated by those aren't into Anime that much.
Haley has had quite a few experiences like Nigel did especially when she was younger yet she knew how to deal with them. She recommends that if anyone if dealing with a problem like this or dealing with something similar to this shouldn't stress and just find ways to avoid this.
Haley does recommend that youngsters still watch Anime, but they should be on the look out for which ones they watch.
